Šime’s connection to the Adriatic began in childhood, fishing alongside his father and later exploring the coastline with friends. Driven by a restless spirit and a preference for the open air over an office desk, he began his maritime career early. His background as a trained electrician provided a practical, technical foundation that allowed him to excel on large vessels, where he spent over a decade honing his skills in seamanship and navigation.

His transition into the luxury yacht sector was a natural evolution. Combining ten years of technical "on-deck" experience with an encyclopedic knowledge of Adriatic routes, local history, and island hidden gems, Šime moved into charter management. This unique blend of hands-on expertise and local networking allowed him to curate guest experiences that were not just trips, but deep immersions into the Croatian way of life.

The vision for Malum Yachting was born from Šime’s desire to elevate the standard of local tourism. Alongside his lifelong friend Ljubo and fellow professional Ilija, he co-founded the company to replace "standard" service with something uncompromising and priceless. Today, he leverages his vast network and terrain knowledge to ensure that every Malum itinerary meets the highest possible standard of adventure and luxury.
